We were honored to share the results of our collaboration with the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) at the RCEMI Professional Development Symposium last weekend on December 7th. Sensay AI plays a pivotal role in empowering educators in EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) classrooms. This event provided us with an excellent opportunity to engage with education experts, discuss AI’s applications in EMI, and showcase how Sensay boosts teaching efficiency and learning outcomes.

We also demonstrated how the platform’s text analysis feature helps identify areas for improvement down to the phoneme level, offering clear and actionable suggestions.
This real-time feedback significantly enhances learning efficiency, enabling students to gain confidence while allowing teachers to provide tailored guidance. Moreover, learners have also become more intentional and deliberate with their answers after using Sensay, they’ve learned to focus on giving meaningful and concise responses.

By analyzing the before and after audio recordings, we observed significant improvements in the English speaking abilities of educators and learners who used Sensay. They exhibited greater confidence and fluency, with noticeable advancements in pronunciation achieved through consistent practice in a relatively short period.
There is also a significant reduction in filler words as they continued to practice. Furthermore, practicing speaking English with Sensay AI drastically reduced the learners’ anxiety, allowing them to practice speaking without fear of judgment or the pressure of making mistakes in front of others.
3️⃣ Adaptive Learning and Personalized Teaching
Educators and learners benefited from the flexibility Sensay provides, allowing them to review and practice each exercise at their own pace, wherever and whenever they want. They could identify specific words, syllables, or phonemes they found challenging and actively track their progress over time.
Sensay’s variety of customizable speaking exercises and data analytics empower teachers to create personalized learning plans for their students’ diverse needs, and helps to improve cross-cultural communications in EMI classrooms.
